"Restomods" typically involve building a custom bike that retains the original image, idea, or spirit of the donor bike; with the addition of personalized details or performance upgrades that make the bike truely unique. Some purists get their knickers in a knot if the original spec is not maintained as closely as possible. "To each, their own", as they say. For my part, there's something special about modifying something that's been around for 50 or 100 years and making it uniquely mine.
